Micropolar fluid between two coaxial cylinders (numerical approach)

AB  - The paper describes the flow of a suspension which is a mixture of two phases: liquid and solid granules. The continuum model with microstructure is introduced, which involves two independent kinematic quantities: the velocity vector and the micro-rotation vector. The physical analogy is based on the movement of the suspension between two coaxial cylinders. The inner cylinder is stationary and the outer one rotates with constant angular velocity. This physical analogy enabled a mathematical model in a form of two coupled differential equations with variable coefficients. The aim of the paper is to present the numerical aspect of the solution for this complex mathematical model. It is assumed that the solid granules are identically oriented and that under the influence of the fluid they move translationally or rotate around the symmetry axis but the direction of their symmetry axes does not change. The solution was obtained by the ordinary finite difference method, and then the corresponding sets of points (nodes) were routed by interpolation graphics.

AB  - This paper presents the mathematical model and numerical analysis of the convective drying process of thick slices of colloidal capillary-porous materials slowly moving through conveyor-belt dryer A flow of hot moist air was used as drying agent. The drying process has been analyzed in the form of a 2-D mathematical model, in two directions: along the conveyor and perpendicular on it. The mathematical model consists of two non-linear differential equations and one equation with a transcendent character and it is based on the mathematical model developed for drying process in a form of a 1-D thin layer. The appropriate boundary conditions were introduced The presented model is suitable for the automated control of conveyor-belt dryers. The obtained results with analysis could be useful in predicting the drying kinetics of potato slices and similar natural products.

AB  - U radu je predstavljeno analitičko rešenje matematičkog modela koji opisuje strujanje suspenzije u cilindričnom kanalu. Matematički model je primena teorije mikropolarnog kontinuma i sastoji se od spregnutog sistema diferencijalnih jednačina sa promenljivim koeficijentima. Cilindrični kanal sačinjavaju dva saosna cilindra, od kojih unutrašnji miruje, a spoljašnji rotira konstantnom ugaonom brzinom. Ovakav fizički model omogućava analizu strujanja suspenzije, kao heterogene mešavine tečnosti i čestica koje se nalaze u njoj. Rešenje ovog sistema jednačina pronađeno je u formi specijalnih Beselovih funkcija nultog i prvog reda. Rezultati analitičkog postupka su prikazani grafički za neke konkretne karakteristične vrednost, i pokazano je dobro slaganje rezultata dobijenih analitičkim postupkom sa očekivanim.
AB  - This paper presents an analytical solution of a mathematical model which treats fluid flow suspension in a cylindrical channel. The model is the application of the theory of micropolar continuum on the flow of suspension and it consists of coupled linear differential equations with variable coefficients. The cylindrical channel consists of two cylinders: the internal cylinder was still and the external one rotated with constant velocity. This model enabled us to analyze the motion of a suspension, as heterogeneous mixture of a liquid with solid particles. The solution was found in the form of special Bessel's functions of the zero and the first order. The results were shown on diagrams for some characteristic values, and the good agreement was achieved between the calculated and expected results.

AB  - U radu je dato idejno rešenje uređaja za završno hlađenje čokoladnog preliva jaffa biskvita u A.D. 'Jaffa'- Crvenka. Predloženo idejno rešenje proizašlo je iz željenog tehnološkog procesa završnog hlađenja jaffa biskvita i traženih parametara procesa koje je trebalo ostvariti, i koji su predstavljali sastavni deo projektnog zadatka. Sproveden je termički proračun i pokazano da procentualna greška između površine kontakta vazduha i čokoladnog preliva keksa,koja je dobijena iz toplotnog bilansa i geometrijski preko predloženog idejnog rešenja, ne prelazi 0,67%. Ovim je idejno rešenje sasvim opravdano jer usvajanjem konstruktivno potrebne dužine trakastog transportera dobijamo željenu temperaturu čokoladnog preliva na završetku procesa hlađenja.
AB  - In this paper preliminary design of device for finish cooling chocolate topping of biscuits in A.D. 'Jaffa'- Crvenka was done. The proposed preliminary design followed by the required technological process of finish cooling biscuits and required parameters of process which was supposed to get and which represented part of project task. Thermal analysis was made and obtained percentage error between surface contact of the air and chocolate topping, obtained from heat balance and geometrical over proposed preliminary design, wasn't more than 0.67%. This is a preliminary design completely justified because using required length of belt conveyor receive required temperature of chocolate topping at the end of the cooling process.

Proračun postrojenja sa suvim vrećastim filterom TTFP 6/220 u A.D. Livnica 'Kikinda'

AB  - U ovom radu dat je proračun strujanja otpadnog vazduha kod primene savremene i moderne metode u procesu prečišćavanja vazduha iz proizvodne hale u kojoj se nalazi elektrolučna peć. Kod ovog proračuna su za postojeću konstrukciju i poznate dimenzije otprašivača izračunati protoci i temperature na različitim mestima cevovoda kompletnog postrojenja za prečišćavanje otpadnih gasova. Inženjerski nadzor i aktivno računarsko upravljanje sa jednog računarskog komadnog mesta podržani su PLCom. Dijagnostificirane su moguće greške i objašnjeni njihovi uzroci i postupci koje treba sprovoditi kada do istih dođe. Takođe, u radu su date i smernice za održavanje i servisiranje opreme za pravilan rad filterskog postrojenja. Tabelarno su prikazane aktivnosti kontrole na postrojenju koje je potrebno sprovoditi u periodičnim vremenskim intervalima.
AB  - In this paper, the power budget is given in the application of contemporary and modern methods in the treatment of air from the production facility in which the electric arc furnace. For this calculation, for existing construction and known dimensions dusters calculate flow rates and temperatures at various points of the complete piping systems for waste gases. The analysis contributes maximum energy utilization, significant financial savings and increase in energy and environmental efficiency. Engineering supervision and active computer control of a computer in pieces of PLC are supported. The possible errors are diagnosed and their causes are explained and the procedures to be followed when it comes to them. Also, the paper gives the guidelines for the maintenance and servicing of equipment for proper operation of the filter plant. The tables presented in the plant control activities to be conducted at periodic intervals.

Inženjerski nadzor i aktivno računarsko upravljanje sa jednog računarskog komadnog mesta podržani su PLCom. Dijagnostificirane su moguće greške i objašnjeni njihovi uzroci i postupci koje treba sprovoditi kada do istih dođe. Takođe, u radu su date i smernice za održavanje i servisiranje opreme za pravilan rad filterskog postrojenja. Tabelarno su prikazane aktivnosti kontrole na postrojenju koje je potrebno sprovoditi u periodičnim vremenskim intervalima., In this paper, the power budget is given in the application of contemporary and modern methods in the treatment of air from the production facility in which the electric arc furnace. For this calculation, for existing construction and known dimensions dusters calculate flow rates and temperatures at various points of the complete piping systems for waste gases. The analysis contributes maximum energy utilization, significant financial savings and increase in energy and environmental efficiency. Engineering supervision and active computer control of a computer in pieces of PLC are supported. Also, the paper gives the guidelines for the maintenance and servicing of equipment for proper operation of the filter plant. AB  - U radu će biti prezentovan numerički aspekt rešenja sistema običnih linearnih diferencijalnih jednačina sa promenljivim koeficijentima, koje opisuju strujanje suspenzije između dva saosna cilindra, od kojih unutrašnji miruje a spoljašnji rotira konstantnom ugaonom brzinom. Rešenje ovih jednačina pronađeno je metodom običnih konačnih razlika, a zatim su kroz odgovarajuće skupove tačaka (čvorove) provučeni interpolacioni grafici.
AB  - In this paper numerical solution of linear differential equations with variable coefficients which treats fluid flow suspension between two coaxial cylinders was presented. The internal cylinder was still and the external one rotated with constant velocity which was very often case in practice, due to better mixing the components. The solution was found in the form of finite differences and for the representative number of nodes the interpolation curves were introduced.

AB  - U radu će biti prezentovan analitički aspekt rešenja sistema običnih linearnih diferencijalnih jednačina sa promenljivim koeficijentima, koje opisuju strujanje suspenzije između dva saosna cilindra, od kojih unutrašnji miruje, a spoljašnji rotira konstantnom ugaonom brzinom. Ovo je čest slučaj u praksi gde se na ovaj način postiže bolje mešanje i stvaranje homogene suspenzije (smeše). Rešenje ovih jednačina pronađeno je u formi specijalnih Beselovih funkcija nultog i prvog reda. Rezultati analitičkog postupka su prikazani grafički za neke konkretne karakteristične vrednost, i pokazano je dobro slaganje rezultata dobijenih analitičkim postupkom sa očekivanim.
