The paper(18) presents research results of the most significant eco labels used in Europe for wood fuels burning appliances. Eco certified appliances are characterized by high energy efficiency and low emission of harmful gasses, and these values are significantly stricter than the values permitted in relevant standards for the quality of wood fuels burning appliances. In certain European countries, eco certification of wood fuels burning appliances and possession of eco label is a precondition for receiving subsidies for purchasing new appliances for wood fuels burning.
