U radu je prikazan konzervacioni status bele (Populus alba L.) i crne topole (Populus nigra L.) na području Velikog ratnog ostrva. Definisane su aktivnosti in situ i ex situ konzervacije raspoloživog genofonda, u cilju očuvanja i proširenja populacija ovih vrsta, kao nosilaca složenih ekosistema ritskih šuma.
The paper describes the conservation status of white poplar (Populus alba L.) and black poplar (Populus nigra L.) in the territory of Great War Island. The activities of in situ and ex situ gene pool conservation have been defined in order to preserve and expand the populations of the above species, as carriers of complex wetland forest ecosystems.
