U radu su prikazani rezultati istraživanja anatomske i hemijske građe bukve sa različitih staništa područja Južni Kučaj. Cilj ovog rada je da se na bazi podataka dobijenih istraživanjima u okviru projekta "Proizvodnja drveta za zadovoljenje narastajućih potreba tržišta visoke šume" dobije uvid u karakteristike kvaliteta drveta analizom drvnih vlakana. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da se uočava razlika u anatomskoj i hemijskoj građi drvnih vlakana bukve u zavisnosti od uticaja staništa (nadmorske visine).
The anatomic and chemical structure of beech was studied at different sites in the area of Južni Kučaj. The aim of this paper is, based on the study data within the project "Wood production for satisfying the increasing demands of the high forest market", to present the characteristics of wood quality based on the analysis of wood fibres. The study results show that there is a difference in anatomic and chemical structures of beechwood fibres depending on the site effects (elevation).
