This chapter deals with the waterfront revitalization, presenting built and unbuilt projects that are part of the city’s eternal ambition to get down to its rivers, the Danube and Sava. Since the regulation of the Sava and Danube shoreline is one of the priorities for the city’s development, this topic is crucial for Belgrade. Unfortunately, Belgrade is one of a few European cities that have not yet managed to successfully integrate their riverfronts into the city core. Until recently, Belgrade’s riverfront has been characterized by devastated industrial zones and public promenades that are in poor condition. However, several megaprojects have been initiated in order to change this situation. Defined as priority projects in the City of Belgrade’s Development Strategy, they will be presented and discussed in this chapter.en
