AB  - The paper is analyzing wood pellets production from forest to end user, respectively, from breeding, protection, management, maintenance, and regeneration of forests to gate of end user in case of Serbia. Analysis includes all kind of input materials, energies, and equivalent emissions of CO2 in wood pellets production. The results obtained are: specific energy consumption (heat and electricity) was 2,419 kwh/tpeller, equivalent emission of CO2 was 293 kgCO(2)/tpeikt and the relationship between the net calorific value of wood pellets and the total input energy for their production and transport (EROI) was 1.9. The results were compared with those in world factories and based on that certain conclusions and recommendations are given.

AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati istraživanja primene racionalizovane tehnologije prorednih seča u izdanačkim sastojinama bukve. Istaraživane su tri osnovne tehnike proređivanja: šematska, selektivna i kombinovana. U okviru svake od ovih tehnika prorednih seča projektovane su različite varijante proređivanja, koje su se međusobno razlikovale po stepenu izrade širini sabirnih linija i njihovom međusobnom rastojanju. Primenjeni metod seče i izrade je metod debala ili metod delova debala, a organizaciona forma rada (1M+1R). Seču i izradu karakterisale su dve ključne radne operacije usmereno obaranje i ručno prikupljanje posečenog drvnog materijala. Pravilnim izborom smera pada stabla značajno je olakšano ručno prikupljanje što je u značajnoj meri uticalo na racionalizaciju celokupnog procesa proređivanja.
AB  - The application of rationalized thinning technology in beech coppice stands was studied. Three basic methods of thinning: schematic, selection and combined method were analyzed. In the framework of each of the above thinning methods, different thinning varieties were designed, differing by the degree of crosscutting, width of gathering lines and their distance. The applied method of felling and crosscutting is the whole tree method or log method, and the form of work organization (1M+1R). The felling and crosscutting are characterized by two key work operations: directed felling and manual collection of the felled wood material. Manual collection is made significantly easier by the correct selection of tree felling direction which in turn affects significantly the rationalization of the entire thinning process.

AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati istraživanja uticaja faktora (prečnik grane broj grana, starost zasada, broj orezivanja, radni sklop uređaja za orezivanje grana, itd) na trajanje orezivanja grana u zasadima topole. Grane su orezivane sa mehanizovanim uređajima Stihl HT 75 i uređajem Husqvarna 250 PS. Ustanovljeno je da vreme orezivanja grana, značajno raste sa brojem odrezanih grana u svim zasadima bez obzira na starost zasada i razmak sadnje. Ova zavisnost je predstavljena stepenom funkcijom. Pored toga vreme orezivanja grana raste sa povećanjem prosečnog prečnika grana odrezanih na stablu. Za ulaz u norme rada mogu se uzeti intervali po pet grana, s obzirom da u okviru ovih intervala ne postoje statistički značajne razlike vremena orezivanja grana.
AB  - The effects of factors (branch diameter, number of branches, plantation age number of prunings, working assembly of pruning devices, etc) on the duration of pruning in poplar plantations were investigated. Poplar branches were pruned by mechanized devices Stihl HT 75 and Husqvarna 250 PS. It was concluded that pruning time increases significantly with the number of removed branches in all plantations disregarding the plantation age and spacing. This correlation is represented by a degree function. Also, pruning time increases with the size of average branch diameter removed from the tree. The intervals of five branches can be taken as the working norms because within these intervals there are no statistically significant differences of pruning time.

AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati istraživanja utroška goriva i maziva pri izvođenju prorednih seča u mladim hrastovo-grabovim sastojinama koji su značajna osnova za kalkulacije troškova proređivanja, kao i za planiranje ovih radova. Na osnovu elemenata statističke analize zavisnosti utroška goriva i maziva od prečnika stabla, proizlazi da sa povećanjem prečnika stabla opada utrošak goriva i maziva po jedinici proizvoda. Zavisnost utroška goriva i maziva od prečnika stabla, ispitana je zasebno za seču na traktorskim vlakama (čista seča), a zasebno na parcelama - površinama između traktorskih vlaka (selektivna proreda) i u oba slučaja je predstavljena funkcijom oblika Y=exp(a + b x X–1). Imajući u vidu rezultate analize varijanse, u praktične svrhe su usvojeni jedinstveni normativi utrošaka goriva i maziva za vlake i parcele.
AB  - Based on the elements of statistical analysis on the dependence of fuel and lubricant consumption on tree diameter, it was assessed that with the increase of tree diameter, the fuel and lubricant consumption in the young oak and hornbeam stands decreases significantly, both in clear felling and in thinning and that the function form Y=exp(a+b x X–1) is the best description of the correlation The consumption of fuel compared to lubricant consumption is almost double, which agrees with the results of the previous studies. Average consumption of fuel and lubricant is 17.43 mL x tree–1, on the plots 20.27 mL x tree–1, average consumption of lubricant per tree on skid roads is 9.4 mL x tree–1, on the plots 11 mL x tree–1. The higher consumption of fuel and lubricant on the plots with selective thinning is the consequence of the longer time needed for the conversion per tree, compared to that in clear felling The consumption of fuel per unit area on the skid roads (clear felling) is 22.9 L x ha–1, on the plots (selective thinning) 7.6 L x ha–1. The consumption of lubricant on the skid roads is 13.3 L x ha–1, on the plots 4.29 L x ha–1. The higher consumption of fuel and lubricant per unit area on the skid roads is due to the difference in the number of trees per unit area Based on the results of the analysis of variance, it was found out that between fuel and lubricant consumption in selective thinning and in felling the trees along tractor skid roads there is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance of 95%. So, for practical purposes, the unique norms of consumption can be established for the stands similar to those in which the study was performed.
