The main scope of research in this paper is the advantages for investing of foreign companies in wood processing sector in Serbia and their comparative analysis with the neighboring countries which are the main Serbian competitors. The basic reason for conducting the stated researches is the growing; interest of foreign companies for investing in the area of wood processing in Serbia and in the region of Western Balkans.
